Mari Sciabica

Mari strongly believes leadership is a skill that can be developed through self-reflection and sustained effort. She has dedicated her career to developing leaders through a combination of program design, facilitation and coaching. She approaches her work with energy, compassion and a scientific mind. Mari specializes in coaching executives to lead with vision and purpose, compete compassionately, lead inclusively, navigate difficult conversations, manage conflict, lead remote/hybrid teams and global organizations, as well as focus on strategic thinking, executive presence and balancing work with life.

Mari’s career began in science, where after earning a Bachelor of Science in cellular and molecular biology, she took a job in a research lab at UCSF. Though lab work was interesting to her, there was something missing. She decided to take a sharp turn in her career and was hired as a learning and development specialist at Google, where she provided development opportunities to the ever-growing population of engineers and was promoted to oversee the development of thousands of Google’s managers globally.

Mari later joined Autodesk, where she was tasked with designing a performance management program and eventually served as a human resources business partner. Mari was then asked by the newly public MarTech company, LiveRamp, to build their global HR business partner organization.

More recently, Mari trained with New Ventures West as an integral coach, became certified with the International Coaching Federation, and began consulting and coaching with private clients full time.

Her work with Gaines Consulting includes designing and delivering programs on leading in a hybrid work environment, becoming a trusted business partner and performance management.

Mari holds a BS in molecular biology from San Francisco State University, is a certified coach from New Ventures West, and has advanced training in MBTI and Enneagram iEQ9.
